A CRM is only useful if leads actually reach it. n8n can be the glue between your forms, chats and your CRM.
Pick the connection
n8n has nodes for several popular CRMs. If yours has none, use the HTTP Request node with its API (API authentication). A well-kept Google Sheet also works as a simple CRM.
A typical flow
- Lead arrives by form, WhatsApp or email.
- Clean the data and check for a valid phone or email.
- Search the CRM for an existing contact to avoid duplicates.
- Create or update the contact.
- Assign an owner and notify them.
- Schedule a follow-up reminder.
Duplicates
Match on email or phone. Decide in advance whether to update the old record or create a new one.
Privacy
Collect only what you need and tell people how their data is used. Follow the rules that apply to you and ask a professional if unsure.
